This DMM Masterdisk cut by Howie Weinberg is fantastic. Comparing now directly with my 2025 Rhino Hi Fidelity Kevin Gray version. Is this OG better or worse? It is very different! This will be my "go to" version to spin from now on. Why? This has a HUGE powerful fidelity that is tamed on the remaster; this punches from the speakers! The remaster boosts the low end a bit (doesn't need it) and loses some headroom. But the remaster has crisper detail in the midrange. The guitars here are crunchier and sound rawer, like live-studio fidelity. The remaster sounds...technical. This cut is louder and more intense from the needle-drop! If you can find a clean copy, I highly recommend picking this up.
